Who is C.H. Reece?
Let me tell you a little about myself. As a small child, we moved around a lot. Nevada, New Mexico, California and eventually settled in Utah. Utah is where I like to think my ancestors really made a life for themselves. Being mainly of Danish heritage along with English, Irish, Welsh, and even Scottish, that one I just learned about not too long ago.
I won’t bore you all with the whole, I was a kid, grew up and now I write smut books, details. Just like any other child, I had good times and bad times. So I think I will start by saying I once had a dream.
Dream or Reality?
Have you ever had a dream so vivid, you can taste it on your tongue? A dream so embedded into your mind it becomes permanently etched into your soul? What do you do with that dream? I wrote a book or at least the mad scribblings of one.
I woke in the wee hours of the morning wanting to so desperately go back into the dream I was having. I played that dream over and over in my head as I lay there trying to fall back to sleep. I couldn’t get that dream out of my head and I never did go back into that dream.
Instead, I got up and started frantically scribbling it down in a notebook. My handwriting resembling a doctors chicken scratch, I poured what felt like my own real memory onto the pages and continued to write it all down until I thought I got it all out. It felt so real to me because in my dream it happened to me.
I placed that notebook in a side drawer next to my bed. There it stayed until our home was flooded. The contents of that drawer was packed with the rest of the room to replace floorings.
Many years later, just before Covid hit the world, I started reading paranormal romace and other fantasy books. It dawned on me that I had written a story and went looking for it. Unfortunatley, it wasn’t anywhere to be found. So in that time I began writing it all over again. The amazing thing was that it was still in my mind as if it happened just yesterday.
New Beginnings
A new chapter in my life has begun. It started with a dream. Not something I wanted but a real, close your eyes and snore at night, kind of dream. What compelled me to write it down, I’ll never know for sure but I’m happy it has led me to where I am today. I am blessed with a new circle of friends that love and support me on every level in this journey. Never Stop Dreaming! 🦋
Witch’s Link Series
Fun fact. The first two books used to be one book. I decided to split it because my chapters were especially long and there were only 18 of them. They are a set, a part one and part two, really. You could read them separately, but I think it would raise many questions and be confusing. However, in understanding that, I put a recap at the beginning of the second book, just in case.
